Countdown to Christmas: Day 11 – The benefits of using NWCH
It’s day 11 of our Christmas countdown/10 year celebration and today we are going to give you some insight into the benefits of using our Frameworks.
In traditional procurement, every project is a unique event with any learning lost when the project completes. Sir John Egan’s 1998 ‘Rethinking Construction’ report said that building projects should be centred on learning and new techniques should be developed to improve efficiency, for example BIM, off-site fabrication etc.
NWCH Frameworks are a unique opportunity for Client organisations to work with carefully selected Contractors and Consultants to ensure that efficiencies and benefits are passed from one project to the next. Not least of these benefits are Clients’ ‘local economy’ requirements. Social Value is at the heart of the NWCH, and since our first project was procured in 2010, we have been pioneering the delivery of what became termed as Social Value within construction projects.
All NWCH frameworks are fully OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union) compliant and negate the need for complex individual procurement processes. Furthermore, by consolidating individual projects into programmes of work, the benefits of buying gains can be realised.
