Ellesmere Port Hub project team supports Oasis Centre for Young People
VINCI Construction UK’s project team have partnered with the Oasis Centre for Young People to support them with a charitable donation of a replacement storage container to store equipment for the local youth centre. The current container was leaking and causing considerable water damage to the contents.
The local youth community serves over 300 members weekly (pre Covid-19), and people visit the centre for various activities such as dancing, weightlifting, bowling and youth clubs for all ages. The centre helps to keep local children off the streets, giving them opportunity and support.
“We were extremely proud to be able to support this worthy cause and we believe it’s important to not only deliver an exceptional new facility for our client Cheshire West and Chester Council but to also leave a lasting social value legacy to the Ellesmere Port community.” Joanna DeLima, Project Administrator and Social Value Champion, Vinci Construction UK
Delivered through the North West Construction Hub, the new hub building is progressing well and is due to be completed in December 2021.
“On behalf of the Oasis Centre for Young People I would like to say a huge thank you to VINCI Construction for the replacement of the damaged container. As we have limited storage space in the building, this means that we can now store a lot of the items we have safely. It all helps towards the continuation of our services for the Young People.” Ruth Spicer, Chair for Oasis Centre for Young People
