NWCH Framework Partner, ISG reaches out to Manchester supply chain
NWCH Framework partner, ISG opened the doors to its latest project as part of a supply chain open day at Hulme District Office in Manchester.
The session saw around 70 suppliers visit the site to hear about the project in Hulme and other opportunities being procured by Manchester City Council through the North West Construction Hub.
The ISG team and Rob Renshaw, Project Manager for Capital Programmes and Procurement at Manchester City Council, were on hand to discuss the work available, as part of a drive to boost the economy through engagement of the local supply chain.
Tony Dougan, Senior Project Manager at ISG, will lead the project team at Hulme District Office. He said: “The event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with local suppliers and promote the work available on this important redevelopment project and others in the pipeline.
NWCH is built on collaboration and community engagement and we hope to be able to demonstrate this ethos across the delivery of the project. This event was the first, very important, step to bringing the Hubs ambition to life at Hulme District Office.”
All enquiries taken at the event will now be processed by the ISG supply chain team.
Pictured at the event are ISG’s Social Value Coordinator, Lucy Barton, Senior Project Manager Tony Dougan, Senior Surveyor David Hedges and Calico’s Jane Smith, who was on hand to talk to suppliers about training and apprenticeships.
“As an organisation we are dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy in the communities we work in. We encourage all of our delivery partners to work collaboratively to form long-term relationships with clients, the community and local businesses, to ensure our projects are not only transforming the street scape, but delivering true long-term change for local areas. We hope to be able to encourage this sort of approach and engage local companies to work with us to shape the future skylines of our cities, towns and villages across the North West.” Joanna Chomeniuk, Framework Lead, North West Construction Hub
