Waste & Recycling Tour at JWS Waste

During the month of October, MC Construction teamed up with JWS Waste to gain an insight into what happens to the construction waste that is created on construction sites.

Clients from Bowker Sadler Architecture, Gardiner and Theobald and Stephen Buxton & Associates, along with employees from the Business Development and Commercial departments at MC Construction, attended an informative talk held by Tim Andrew, JWS Waste Managing Director, at JWS Waste’s site in Salford.

“With the construction industry being the largest producer of waste, we feel that it is important that we are aware of our waste streams and that we ensure that we do our bit to help reduce our impact on the environment.

We believe that together we can work towards reducing the industry’s impact on the environment and create a greener and more sustainable future.” Chris Purcell, Director

Recruitment Event at Sale High School

MC Construction reached for the stars on their hunt for the next generation of industry professionals!

This October MC Construction held a Recruitment Event at Sale High School, giving the local people of Trafford aged between 16-25 both in education or out of work the opportunity to apply for exciting roles in the construction industry. A number of roles were advertised from General Operatives and Trade Apprentices to Commercial Trainees.

“The past couple of years have been incredibly challenging for everyone with the Covid-19 outbreak and for those aged between 16-25 coming out of education or just starting off their careers in industry it’s been a turbulent time.

We pride ourselves on nurturing home-grown talent from the North-West and I am pleased that we are able to offer opportunities to young people looking for a role in construction.

The event was a great success and we have a number of candidates who we have invited for second stage interviews at our HQ in Salford.”Russ Forshaw, Operations Director
