Rachel, you’ve been on maternity leave this last year. Firstly, congratulations. How are you finding motherhood?

Thank you! I have found motherhood to be an experiment in how long my body can function without adequate sleep and fuelled only on adrenaline, wine and more wine!

No on a serious note, apart from the sleep deprivation I am loving every second of being a Mummy to Sophie!

How have you found re-acclimatising with the hustle and bustle of the Hub?

Turning the computer on after nearly 10 months was a challenge, however I am now back into the swing of things and looking forward to taking on the new encounters of KPI’s, social value and the Small Works Framework.

What does your role entail?

I am starting a new role after returning from maternity leave, previously I was Framework Manager for the CAPPS framework. However, I am now the Framework Manager for KPI’s, social value and community engagement, ensuring that all facets of performance both for Clients and the Contractors are measured and reported at set intervals throughout the life cycle of the project. I work closely with Clients and Contractors measuring the performance of the Contractors against Budget, Programme and Contractor team. I am also be responsible for the Small Works Framework Management which launched at the end of September 2019 and oversee marketing activities.

What do you find to be the most challenging aspect of your role?

My role is new to me, so I have to say everything at the moment! But ask me again in a few weeks when things have settled down!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time (if you have any!)

Change nappies and listen to baby shark…. Exciting right?
