Shining a blue light on social value
A variety of Clients and potential Clients gathered at Winsford Police Headquarters on Wednesday 25th September 2019 to attend a workshop organised by the NWCH Social Value Special Interest Group to talk all things social value.
The workshop was designed to enhance and help blue light Clients understand more about how social value can be included in the procurement process for their construction projects.
The agenda included some background into the Hub, achieving social value, best practice, a game of social value Family Fortunes as well as a policy ranking game, guest speakers from Manchester College and HM Pasties plus how to receive further support from the Hub.
The session was informative with a great atmosphere and camaraderie throughout without taking away from the importance of the knowledge being shared. A perfect example of the NWCH’s collaborative ethos was on display and was summed up perfectly by Neil Conlon of NWCH Framework Partner, Conlon, when he said:
‘Conlon have been on 16 Frameworks over the last 20 years and NWCH is by far the most collaborative framework we’ve ever been on’
