The Factory welcomes work experience students
The Factory project recently hosted a week long work experience programme which was attended by 30 students daily and gave them an insight into the project lifecycle.
In an exciting and informative week, the students spent each day designing, engineering, costing and digitally constructing an intimate venue that could host one of Manchesters innovative acts. This was delivered collaboratively with design teams, consultants, Manchester International Festival (MIF) and the Client team.
The schools which took part were as follows:
- Burnage Academy for Boys
- Levenshulme High
- The East Manchester Academy
- Whalley Range High
- Manchester Health Academy
8 pupil mentors from Ambrose Barlow Sixth form were also in attendance for the week.
The Factory is a theatre and arts venue procured through North West Construction Hub and being constructed by Hub Framework Partner, Laing O’Rourke.
